What is the National Social Value Standard?

SVS is a measurement standard for the appraisal of social value at the forecasting, monitoring and evaluation stages of an activity. We have over 800 metrics for use across all social, environmental and economic pillars to give you a clear but insightful picture of the social value being enabled by your projects.

Our committed team of economists and dedicated steering committee allow our SVS to keep up to date with the latest needs of the market whilst also setting the standard for where we need to drive to.

Who is the National Social Value Standard for?

Organisations of all shapes and sizes can, and do, use our standard to help them calculate their social value impact. These range from SMEs right through to billion-pound revenue organisations.

We are available to all and pride ourselves on making social value free and accessible for those who are looking to forecast their project.

Public, Private and Not-for-profit companies can all take advantage of the SVS. We are available to access directly through our friends as Loop, as well as being available via Loop as a G-Cloud approved supplier.

There are a variety of ways in which the SVS can be used, across the core themes of forecasting, monitoring and evaluating. And organisations at a variety of stages of social value maturity and understanding can all take advantage of this within a wide range of uses.
